Responsibilities

As the Senior Technical Accounting Analyst, you will report directly to the Assistant Controller and be responsible for coordinating all aspects of technical accounting function within the organization, providing valuable support for the accounting department. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance and contracts, to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles ("US GAAP"), timely and accurate recognition of revenue under ASC 606, accurate financial reporting, and timely disclosure of financial information.Technical Accounting :Review material customer contracts for accurate recognition and project setup under ASC 606.Support the implementation of new accounting standards and policies.Analyze complex accounting transactions related to revenue from contracts with customers, business combination, restructuring accounting, accounting for divestitures, accounting for leases, evaluating assets for impairment (goodwill and intangibles), and providing guidance to internal customers.Develop and implement accounting policies; prepare technical accounting memos, continuously seek and identify areas for process improvements.Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.Financial Reporting :Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.Prepare various supporting schedules, including the statement of cash flows workbook.Audit and Compliance :Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.Assist in the build out of the accounting policy library and drafting key accounting process narratives.Cross-Functional Collaboration :Work closely with finance, contracts, and other departments to gather necessary information for reporting.Collaborate on special projects, mergers, acquisitions, and other financial initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Experience :Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting, or 4 years in public accounting with Big-4 experience.CPA certification preferred.Government contracting experience.Required Skills :Strong understanding of US GAAP.Experience reviewing complex revenue contracts.Ability to manage priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Self-starter and independently motivated.Organized, reliable, and personable.The ability to produce timely, high-quality work.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and team collaboration skills.Preferred Experience :Experience with SaaS revenue recognition.Experience with Costpoint.Educational Requirements :Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
