websites are used in virtually every country in the world and constitute approximately one-third of the annual traffic through utah.edu.We seek an Interactive Developer to join our in-house development, production, research, teacher professional development, and community engagement team. The ideal applicant shares our passion for education and our vision of universal science and health literacy that empowers individuals to make informed decisions.The Interactive Developer will work collaboratively with designers, animators, and other developers to create engaging science and health learning experiences. Responsibilities include writing, modifying, integrating, and testing computer code for web and mobile applications, web-based training software, web games, and other interactive media.Responsibilities

Create engaging, interactive science and health education experiences.Write, modify, integrate, and test computer code for web and mobile applications.Develop and implement reliable, user-friendly systems of interactivity.Collaborate with designers, animators, and other developers.Evaluate interactive experiences against team goals and objectives.Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements.May research and evaluate interactive media software products.May work on Web Team related projects.May work on redesigning and updating older content.Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area.Preferences

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Graphics for Web: WebGL, Three.js, D3, and related frameworks.Work Environment
