This position's primary role is to support the Media Center and Classroom Support Services IT Infrastructure and software applications. Additionally, it serves as secondary support for the administration of the agency IT infrastructure.

Media Center Information Technology Support:

System Administrator duties for all in-house systems, including user setup, security, performance, and upgrades. This includes all packaged and internally developed software.Analyze technical information and reporting of anomalies by users to determine the nature, root cause, and impact of a software failure and develop a detailed and practical solution - which must include new or revised procedures needed to minimize the chances for a reoccurrence.Analyze and interpret technical information and instructions to determine the optimum technique, schedule, and steps to complete the upgrade and coordinate the activity with all affected Division personnel.

IT Infrastructure Administration:

Technical software and hardware support for the infrastructure and systems in use by the Information Technology Department related to VMware Infrastructure, Veeam Backup, HP SAN, MSA SAN, Exchange Email, Barracuda Spam Filter, and Active Directory at a Junior Admin Level.Support the analyzation of technical information and reporting of anomalies by users to determine the nature, root cause, and impact of a software failure and develop a detailed and practical solution - which includes new or revised procedures needed to minimize the chances for a reoccurrence.Handling system upgrades, the position will analyze and interpret technical information and instructions to determine the optimum technique, schedule, and steps to support the administration and maintenance of the agency’s IT Infrastructure. Also, investigates, evaluates, and recommends new systems, products and other assorted technologies to Division management.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.One year of professional experience in an occupational field related to work assigned to the position.ORSubstitutions:

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.Training or certification related to the work assigned to the position as a substitution for the required experience and/or education.
