UTMB has graduated more health professionals than any other academic health center in the state.Position Overview:The Department of Otolaryngology at UTMB in Galveston, Texas, is actively recruiting an enthusiastic Oculoplastic Surgeon for immediate hire. This position aims to provide faculty support to meet the teaching, research, and patient care needs of the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences and assist in fulfilling UTMB's threefold mission. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, consultative services, outpatient services, and care of hospitalized patients. The candidate will participate in all teaching activities, including conferences, lectures, bedside teaching, and rounds, as well as continuing medical education and meetings.Expected Cases:Droopy Eyelid Surgery, including Blepharoplasty and Blepharoptosis Repair.Eyelid Cancer Excision and Reconstruction.Ectropion and Entropion Eyelid Repair.Tear Duct Infections and Abnormalities.Orbital Abnormalities, including Thyroid Eye Disease, Inflammation, Infections, and Tumors.Candidate Requirements:

The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited medical school, have completed an ACGME approved residency training program in ophthalmology, possess interest and training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery, be Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, and have a Texas Medical License without restrictions.Income Package:
