Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an outstanding Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Data: Science & Engineering team within AWS Marketing.As a Business Intelligence Engineer on this team, you will get the exciting opportunity to work with senior marketing leadership to understand their business requirements and deliver solutions and actionable insight. Our team is serious about great design and redefining best practices with a cloud-based approach to scalability and automation. A successful candidate will be a person who enjoys diving deep into data analysis, discovering root causes, and implementing long-term solutions. You will help customize business policies and processes while developing new metrics and functionality.Key job responsibilitiesUncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve our marketing performance.Collaborate and partner across the organization to develop best practices for your function and advocate for improvements in enterprise-wide tools.Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.Minimum Requirements:3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience.Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab.Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
