As a Patient Financial Services Director - Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable processes within the healthcare organization. This includes managing billing and collections, resolving patient billing inquiries, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to accounts receivable functions
Monitor and analyze accounts receivable metrics to ensure optimal performance
Supervise a team of billing specialists and collectors to achieve department goals
Collaborate with other departments to streamline revenue cycle processes
Identify and resolve any issues related to patient billing and reimbursement
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
Provide training and support to staff on best practices in accounts receivable management
Serve as a liaison between the finance department and external stakeholders
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Previous experience in healthcare accounts receivable management
Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management and healthcare billing practices
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications
Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions to improve financial performance
