We are seeking an individual with strong attention to detail and demonstrated priority and time management skills.ResponsibilitiesRead and summarize all legislation that is introducedMaintain an internal database tracking the status of each bill that is introducedCreate visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandableListen to committee and floor proceedings to keep track of votesAssist the policy staff in preparing memos and reports as neededResearch Governor appointments as neededQualificationsFamiliarity with the Colorado legislative process and recent legislationProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google SuiteMust be adaptable in a constantly changing environment and willing to work long hoursMust be able to work in an organized manner, with the ability to collaborate, problem solve, and work on a team while also taking individual responsibility to complete assignmentsThe individual in this position will maintain professionalism with every person they work with, including non-partisan staff, legislators and staff of the House and Senate Majority offices, constituents, and lobbyistsPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated data management and visualization skillsCompensation$4,000-5,000/month commensurate with experience, with enrollment in PERA, the state’s pension program, and insurance benefits.How to Apply• Email a cover letter and resume to taylor.boyer@coleg.govTimeline• Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, November 1st• Phone interviews will be conducted between Monday, November 4th–Friday, November 15th• A decision will be made by Friday, December 6th• Start date is Thursday, January 2nd
