Something About the Position

If you're looking to be a key member of a dynamic Executive Team, this position is for you. With roughly 200 employees across the US, our VP of Finance will have an opportunity to really drive and direct all financial aspects of the organization. The responsibilities range from overall financial strategy to planning, implementing, job-costing, management, and control of all financial-related activities of the company. It's a broad spread of responsibilities, but a great way to utilize your experience in a meaningful way, especially for the ideal candidate who joins us and truly owns the financial function of the company.

The following are areas where we'd like to see you bring functional experience:

Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

Provides exemplary leadership, development and communication skills.

Ensures credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, cash flows, financial trends and forecasts.

Directs and oversees all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.

In conjunction with HR, evaluates, selects and administers all employee benefit and insurance programs including but not limited to 401k, health insurance, dental and vision insurance as well as business insurance policies including but not limited to professional liability, workers' compensation, auto and cyber insurance.

Oversees the timely and accurate computation of all employee compensation.

Oversees timely monthly close and consolidation process, in accordance with established timelines.

Takes a hands-on lead position in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive percentage of completion job cost system.

Supports manufacturing efficiency and inventory management through partnership with the operating units.

Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.

Develops and monitors financial policies and procedures that will protect assets, reduce legal liabilities, improve profitability, and favorably impacts customer service.

Coordinates all audit activities to ensure accurate, timely financial and accounting information.

Leads implementation and integration into parent company financial system software.

Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.

Provides executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.

Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS rules for financial and tax reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.

15+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.

Experience in accounting and finance practices for industrial equipment installation, manufacturing, construction and/or engineering is strongly preferred.

Experience in project accounting (percentage of completion) is required.

Experience with tax and auditing.

Proficiency in POC-related reporting and accounting.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.

Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Strong communication skills and ability to forge business relationships with senior management and peers at our corporate office located in Austria, including occasional international travel.

PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of sophisticated ERPs and Excel is preferred.

Recent experience working in an ERP system that manages most financial reporting including POs, inventory, GLs, etc. Experience leading an ERP transition or upgrade preferred.
