Job Summary

The VP of Finance will lead the Accounting, Purchasing, Human Resources, Inventory, and Information Technology Departments. They will partner our business managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting, proper controls, and accurate financial and data analysis.

The person will interface closely with our executive team. The VP of Finance will be responsible for aligning business objectives with management and executives to ensure our operations remain on track to maintain our target goals. They will report of metrics to optimize our growth, understanding where efficiencies exist to maximize scalability throughout the year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Present timely and accurate analyses, summaries and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company.

Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting, human resources, purchasing, inventory, and information technology policies, objectives, and initiatives.

Acts as a strategic resource to senior leadership on initiatives, programs, and issues.

Manage, lead, and develop staff.

Familiarity with legal process as it relates to employee issues (i.e., EEOC, DOL, Human Rights Commission & formal lawsuits.).

Executes company-wide benefit and compensation programs.

Develop and lead management, leadership, coaching and counseling, team building, harassment awareness and other employee development sessions.

Manage departmental budgets.

Manage the maintenance, enhancement, development designing and delivery of all technology.

Manage and prioritizes information technology requirements and functional or operational specifications for projects.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical skills, including reading, understanding, analyzing and interpreting financial data and operational metrics.

Expertise with Excel and working inside ERP systems.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Superior emotional intelligence competencies in areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.

Solid time management and organizational skills with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an attention to detail.

Highest level of integrity.

Knowledge of fabricated sheet metal manufacturing.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

Strong verbal and Written communication skills

Calm, Polite, and Professional Behavior.

Proven ability to use sound, practical judgement.

Ability to effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably.

High Service Orientation.

Able to prioritize and delegate effectively.

Experience and Education:

5 years of proven Controller, Director of Finance or VP of Finance experience within a manufacturing setting, Required.

BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field – Required.

CPA preferred but not required.
