Be an empowered part of an initial team being built with strong backing from company leaders chartered to build innovative applications leveraging modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. As Principal Front-End Software Engineer you will be a senior contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Front-End software solutions and products related to Olympus’ digital platform in surgical and endoscopy areas. You will be relied upon to provide technical leadership and solutions to the agile teams of internal developers and external consultants, understand long term product goals, legacy constraints, and Olympus technical culture. You will also be expected to be a proficient individual contributor who can jump in and support project deliverables and find solutions to meet goals and schedules.Job Duties

Develop front-end applications using TypeScript and React which integrate to back-end RESTful APIs (OAS3) & GraphQL.Build responsive, user-centric interfaces to optimize a user’s experience.Provide guidance to the delivery team to ensure initiatives are well-defined.Mentor and teach junior engineers while also learning from them.Provide support to address problems during development and after product release.Define and write unit tests to resolve and prevent issues prior to system verification.Interface with standardized medical communication interfaces such as HL7/FHIR and DICOM.Assist with Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline development and maintenance.Job Qualifications
