Olympus, one of the largest medical technology companies globally, in collaboration with BCG X, is building a new Digital Unit that will be tasked with innovating and building new strategic products that will expand on its product offerings and impact across the globe.We are seeking a skilled and experienced (Senior) Backend Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using C# /.NET.Job Duties

Software DevelopmentWrite high-quality, secure, and maintainable code to deliver on agile user stories, ensuring that our platform is reliable and scalable.Develop and maintain unit tests with a high degree of code coverage, ensuring that our code is rigorously tested and optimized for performance.Perform code reviews on other team members' pull requests, providing constructive feedback and guidance to improve the quality of our code.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, working closely with the team to identify and implement effective solutions.Create clear and concise documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments that illustrate the type of code needed.Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance, ensuring that our platform is easily maintainable and upgradable.Maintain compliance with applicable policies and procedures for areas such as Quality, Security, and Privacy, ensuring that our platform is secure and compliant with industry standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Design and develop scalable backend systems using C# / .NETImplement and maintain relational databases, such as Postgres or SQL Server, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.Apply knowledge of message bus technologies, such as RabbitMQ, and event store platforms like Apache Kafka to enhance system capabilities.Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Azure EventGrid and other messaging systems to trigger workflows in response to system events.Implement and practice test-driven development across the pyramid using tools such as xUnit, NUnit, Fluent Assertions, Moq, Bogus and Respawn.Utilize cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform to deploy and manage applications.Adhere to the principles of Clean Architecture in the design and development of backend systems, ensuring that our codebase is modular, testable, and easy to understand.Job Qualification

Required:A college or advanced educational degree is not necessarily required for this position.
