Duties and Responsibilities:
Review, draft, and negotiate key commercial agreements, including supply, purchase, service, and transportation contracts.
Provide legal advice on various corporate and commercial projects.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and relevant regulations in contract negotiations.
Act as a legal advisor in commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Engage in extensive client contact, providing practical and business-oriented legal advice.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate initiatives and transactions.
Assist in corporate governance matters as needed.
Conduct legal research to stay updated on corporate law and regulatory trends.
Handle risk assessment and mitigation in commercial agreements and transactions.
Requirements:
Minimum of 7+ years of corporate transactional experience, with a focus on commercial contracts (M&A experience is a plus).
Business acumen and the ability to understand and integrate business concepts into legal advice.
Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including supply chain and service contracts.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive problem-solving abilities and willingness to ask questions and learn.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a client-first approach to legal practice.
Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred (or eligibility for admission).
Skills:
