As an attorney, you will represent ATC in all corporate and commercial matters, including transactional matters involving acquisition of goods and services for ATC. You’ll also provide support in matters related to data privacy, data protection, and management of eminent domain litigation.As an ATC attorney, you will also provide advice and guidance to the business functions of ATC in three key areas:Commercial TransactionsProvide legal advice, representation, and assistance to the business in connection with commercial transactions involving the acquisition of goods and servicesAssist our supply chain department, and other business functions, in connection with contracts, agreements, licenses, and other transactionsLegal DocumentationReview, drafts, and revises standard forms and contractsAssist counsel and internal stakeholders with the legal sufficiency, quality and standardization of forms and contractsProvide subject matter expertise and advice regarding risks assumed by ATC via business transactions and associated contracts, agreements, and licensesLegal Technical ExpertiseProvide support in matters related to data privacy, data protection, and management of eminent domain litigationMaintain currency with industry legal developments related to commercial transactions, contracts, agreements, etc. and other assigned legal topicsProvide proactive, preventative legal advice to all levels of ATC with respect to new case law and proposed/new laws, rules, or regulationsProvide general legal guidance and advice related to business decisions, projects, initiatives, and activities as assignedRepresent the legal department in company-wide meetings and initiativesEducationLaw degree (JD) from an accredited law school with admission to (or eligibility for prompt admission to) the Wisconsin BarExperience4+ years’ experience with handling a variety of corporate and commercial transactional matters for businesses including drafting and negotiating contractsFamiliarity with data privacy laws and related issuesAbility to build long-term, effective working relationships with all levels of employeesAbility to communicate complex information verbally and in writingAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same timeAbility to apply legal expertise and judgment to solve strategic, tactical, and operational problemsAbility to lead negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other binding legal transactionsAbility to create awareness and understanding of technical legal topics across diverse audiences including executives, employees, and external stakeholdersAbility to develop expertise with emerging legal and regulatory issues and standardsAbility to demonstrate patience and remain calm in unexpected and/or antagonistic situations
