Position:

Engineer, Mid Level

Location:

On-site in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Duties:Provide technical support in the principles, techniques and practices of mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering and/or naval architecture as they relate to aircraft carrier hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E), aviation and electronic shipboard systems.Support the development and management of the non-nuclear CMP, BAWPs and modernization for execution during CVN availabilities.Ensure technical requirements, periodicities and associated configuration are current within each assigned CMP maintenance requirement.Examine opportunities to refine the CMP; retrieve, organize and analyze maintenance, risk, and material condition data of specified systems or components.Assist in development of life-cycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and select components.

Qualifications/Education:3 to 5 years professional experience in engineering. Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in data analytics & maintenance and modernization of Navy ships within a shipyard environment.

Skills and Abilities:Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook. Significant organizational skills with an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
