Job DescriptionResponsible for administrative and clinical operational oversight of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. These responsibilities include direction and oversight of the VTH’s administrative, business development, human resources, and operations management functions. Daily interaction, planning, organization, directing, and coordination of departments within the VTH including client services, medical records, communications, and all patient care aspects of the hospital.Required QualificationsProfessional licensure in a field relevant to veterinary medicine OR Master's degree in business administration, health care administration or other business-related fieldExperience managing a large veterinary practice, a large unit within a veterinary teaching hospital, or a human medical practiceExperience in personnel management and supervision of employeesStrong experience recruiting and hiring employees in a veterinary or human medical practiceLeadership experience in a position with significant decision-making authorityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSignificant experience working in a high-paced environment with demonstrated skills in organizational management and facilitating teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience developing, implementing, and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOP’s)Financial acumen and experience analyzing data to inform decision-makingExcellent customer service skillsPay BandAppointment TypeRegularSalary InformationCommensurate with experienceReview Date10/01/2024Additional InformationThe successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.About Virginia TechDedicated to its motto,
