Description

The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration is recruiting for a Jr. Trapeze System Administrator. The position supports the security, functionality, and data integrity of a suite of highly critical computer applications utilized by the Maryland Transit Administration, Mobility Division. The Jr. Trapeze Software Support position will provide onsite IT support which includes: systems troubleshooting and repair, systems maintenance, report generation, system documentation, and software updates. This position will also be required to provide training and guidance to application end-users as needed.

The Jr. Trapeze Software Support position is required to support and maintain many modules in the suite of applications including: route and trip scheduling, run cutting, mobile computer communication, customer certification, customer service, real-time vehicle tracking systems (GPS), and Interactive Voice Response systems (IVR). The Jr. Trapeze Software Support position may interface and collaborate with application end-users and 3rd Party vendors to solve problems or to successfully complete tasks.

On occasion, this position also requires the ability to work beyond normal business hours to perform system maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience:

One year of experience responding to help desk calls from users of computer systems. The one year of experience must have been in Trapeze or equivalent Transit software experience.Notes:1. Experience operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing or maintaining information may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
