Power BI & Financial Analyst for Service & Support

The Financial & Power BI Analyst provides analysis of service and support budgets, processes, and activities used by Senior Management to optimize efficiency and costs of the Product Service and Support group. In addition, this position will determine and develop best practices through innovative reporting and data analytics to provide insight and recommendations to service operations teams and management.This position will be based out of Epson America's headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Budget Analysis

Create and maintain departmental budgets for service and support teams.Provide financial analysis to assist management in developing annual budget forecasts.Monitor the Service & Support Group consolidated budget.Monitor and reconcile each department cost center monthly general ledger.Investigate and resolve anomalies with department management.Make necessary adjustments with Finance.Serve as liaison between Service & Support Management and Finance in cost center analysis and reconciliations.Service & Support Analysis

Create and analyze monthly key cost and operational indicator reports (e.g., cost per minute for call center, cost per transaction for call center, average cost per repair per item, etc.) to identify trends for Executive Management.Collaborate with department management to identify underlying causes for changes in key indicators.Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports from Service & Support departments on performance and trends.Create monthly consolidated Service & Support World Wide Customer Support report for SEC that identifies all costs associated with each of three major business groups (Imaging & Inkjets, Projectors, and System Devices).Provide recommendations to senior management based on an analysis of service and support information to provide resolution to operational problems and ensure maximum efficiency.Create and analyze regular and ad-hoc reports and presentations as directed by Executive Management.Power BI / Service Data Administration Activities

Plan, design, develop, and maintain data structure and data visualization tools for Service Operations reporting functions.Assist business teams with solving both data and technical issues associated with Service Operations data hierarchy and reporting.Be responsible for Service and Support Power BI reporting and dashboards, including data integrity, documentation, and development of wide-ranging applications including all service systems and systems that contain service information.Ensure automated updates are completed on a daily or weekly basis to assure data integrity.Maintain and improve service forecast tools used for forecasting service costs and projections.Partner with internal IT resources to identify technical concerns, provide recommendations, and option resolution.Partner with Service Operations leadership on ongoing continuous improvement projects related to business reporting and data access.Stay current with system and technological developments, new features, and advances in reporting and forecasting tools.WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

5-8 years of experience.Demonstrated skills in financial analysis, reconciliation, reporting, analyzing and synthesizing data, and developing actionable recommendations.Experience creating various dashboards utilizing weekly/monthly/yearly financial reports to measure and track amongst previous KPI's and costs.Experience with Business Objects and Power BI Analytical tools.Strong written and oral communication skills.Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint.Previous experience/knowledge of production printing markets (e.g. textile, label, commercial print, etc.) is a plus.Consumer goods experience is a plus.Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.).The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $88,466 and $110,583. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
