Lumos | High-Speed Fiber Internet Provider in NC, VA and SCThe Position
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to management within Finance & Accounting and across the organization with an emphasis on grant and subsidy reporting. This role requires financial reporting and month-end close experience, solid understanding of accounting standards and practices, and the ability to work effectively with accounting and non-accounting personnel.Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and schedules for month end closingAnalyze results and trends, research and explain variancesComplete all assigned account reconciliations accurately and in a timely mannerNavigate GL and other systems to research items for month-end closeAssist field with accounting questions and processesExplain and enforce accruals processAssist with the year end auditSpecial projects as neededAssist manager to define key procedures and tasks for staff accountants.Qualifications
Education:
BS/BA in Accounting (MBA/MPA and/or CPA a plus)Experience:
5+ years financial reporting, general accounting or equivalent experience (Mix of public and private experience a plus. Telecom experience is preferred)Key Competencies:
