Rubedo Life Sciences is a biotechnology company with active research programs related to age-related diseases including cancer and respiratory disorders. We are seeking a motivated and passionate candidate to join our team. Together, we will discover and develop novel therapies aimed to selectively clear from the body senescent and cancer cells at the same time.Key Responsibilities:Execution and analysis of single cell and NGS workflows, including library construction, quantification, quality control, and sequencing from multiple sources of primary tissues from preclinical and clinical samples.Hands-on development, optimization, and validation of cutting-edge single cell-based technologies with a focus on NGS-based workflows.Build and maintain robust “sample to data” workflows and SOPs tailored to various applications/projects, in collaboration with different project teams.Generate and develop new ideas for single-cell genomic interrogation experiments.Clear communication of scientific findings in cross-functional project team meetings.Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists to assist in data interpretation for single cell projects.Lead a small R&D team.Minimum Qualifications:PhD degree in molecular/cell biology or a related discipline and 4 years experience, or a MS degree in molecular biology or related discipline with 8 years of relevant work experience.Experience with next generation sequencing, genomics and/or proteomics technologies.Broad experience in sample preparation and handling of a range of sample types (e.g. cells, organoids, tissues).Relevant experience or knowledge of RNAseq, preferably using single-cell sequencing methods and technologies.Proven ability to troubleshoot technical and scientific issues.Strong communications/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are essential.Experience in leveraging bulk and/or single cell transcriptomic and/or epigenomic readouts to develop insight into a biological system.Preferred Experience and Skills:Experience with computational analysis of genomic and transcriptomic data using python (preferred), R, or others.Environmental Conditions / Physical Demands:Prolonged periods of standing at laboratory tables.Physical: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, standing, bending, repetitive movement, etc.Environmental risks: Exposure to wet lab environment, bloodborne pathogens, and toxic or caustic chemical or reagents.Rubedo Life Sciences, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
