Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for the nursing department, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA.

Supervise and manage a team of nursing professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the seamless delivery of patient care services, including acute care, nursing home care, assisted living, home health, and hospice care.

Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of our patients.

Monitor and report on the quality of care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance the overall quality of care.

Oversee the orientation and training of new nursing staff, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver the highest level of care.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a nursing home or assisted living setting.

Proven experience in nursing administration, with a strong understanding of nursing practices and regulations.

Experience in managing a diverse team of nursing professionals, including supervising and mentoring staff.

Familiarity with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

A bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.

Skills

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and manage a team of nursing professionals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Experience in acute care, nursing home care, assisted living, home health, and hospice care.

Knowledge of nursing administration and the ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.

Experience in shift management and the ability to manage staffing levels to meet the needs of our patients.

A strong understanding of HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$107,929.00 - $113,187.00 per year
