Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Barlow Respiratory Hospital, you will:Fill orders with accuracy.Check technician-prepared products before release.Maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances.Enter orders and patient information with accuracy.Aid in the training of new staff.Update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy.Aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule:
This full time, nonexempt position will work 30-40 hours/week which may include weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Pay Range:
$66-$70/hour based on experience.
About the Facility:
Located in downtown Los Angeles, Barlow Respiratory Hospital is a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) with a specialty in weaning patients from ventilators. They serve patients with complex medical conditions referred from hospital intensive care units. They provide highly individualized treatment and specialized respiratory care and rehabilitation. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission.
About the Pharmacy:
This centralized automated pharmacy utilizes Meditech, Omnicell, Up-To-Date and Micromedex online drug information software support. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-8:00pm; Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, 7:30am-6:00pm.
Required Qualifications:Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred.Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred.3+ years recent experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care hospital preferred (can include ASHP Accredited Residency).Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns.Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting.Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems.Effective communication skills; verbal and written.Flexibility to cover weekends or weekdays as needed and the ability to assist in covering pharmacist time off/vacation.
Hospital Requirements (may be required):(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity.Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity.HepB3 Series (or declination).(Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1 st
