EP Device Nurse

to join our Cardiac Device team.This position is a

0.5FTE (5 shifts/ pay period), 8 hour shifts working Day shift.This specific opening will be responsible for supporting care and care coordination of patients requiring EP services both in ambulatory and inpatient settings. The Electrophysiology Device nurse will partner with the EP team and work cross-functionally with procedural areas, inpatient care areas and in ambulatory care settings to help achieve comprehensive and smooth patient care and provider support.RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:Protecting, promoting, and optimizing healthPreventing illness and injuryAlleviating suffering through the treatment of the human responsePartnering with the patient, their family and significant othersDocumenting interventions and an individualized plan of careQUALIFICATIONS2 years of current

specialized Cardiology

nursing experience with advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology.Graduation from an accredited school of nursingPossession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of MinnesotaPreferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills as they will collaborate frequently with the electrophysiologist as well as other members of the care team (eg: providers on inpatient teams) to develop the plan of care.Certification in area of clinical specialtyBSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
