If so, let's talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThis Internship includes both Back-End and QA responsibilities for the IBM Storage Hardware Development Department, working on products with the IBM FlashCore Module and Storage Scale teams. As a Back-End Developer Intern, your responsibilities include:Helping to develop quality code and testing all functions.Articulating and comparing alternative approaches.Negotiating with specified objectives.Recognizing problems related to project objectives.Applying creativity and judgment to professional technical or operational problems.Independently generating solutions based on analytical skills & business knowledge.As a Quality Assurance/Test Developer Intern, you will:Help in testing new features within a test-driven framework.Identify and redesign inefficiencies, weak spots, and issues with current test implementation.Work closely with FlashSystem and Storage Scale development teams as well as other test engineers to deliver products that meet rigorous quality standards, budgets, and timelines.Engage in Test Plan Development, Test Case Execution, Automation Testing, Data Creation, and incorporating test automation in the CI/CD pipelines.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseExperience with embedded development in C.Create Application Programming Interfaces (API) that are clean, well-documented, and easy to use.Experienced in automating test cases using Python, Java, etc.Must have basic knowledge of Linux.Demonstrates communication skills in a high-performing development environment.Motivated, hardworking, and a quick learner.Required to come to the office a minimum of 3 days a week at the Houston, TX facility.Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseKnowledge and test experience in FlashSystems, Storage Scale Systems, or other storage products.Deep understanding of computer architecture, Flash memory, RTL Design.Experience with Agile principles and methods.
