Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer
to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This is NOT a contract role, this is a full-time employee role with Peraton with benefits and PTO.In this position you will:Provide software configuration across various technical areasAnalyze business requirements and develop technical requirementsDevelop and design application modules, workflows and catalog requestsDevelop and deliver ServiceNow-based solutions for clientsSupport the development and sustainment of a software development environment that covers the entire Software Development Lifecycle using current methodologies to include Continuous Deployment, Agile, and Development Operations (DevOps)Design, develop, document, test and debug applications softwareConduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and development teams in the planning, design, development, and utilization of Cloud-based capabilities for the development, modification, and deployment of softwareAnalyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design software and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesProvide support to the Chief Enterprise Architect, Release Train Engineer, Senior Leadership and the client with regards to software development best practicesSupport Quality Assurance and Quality Control verification within all applicable phases of software development to assure all actions are completed in accordance with appropriate policy, standards and proceduresEnsure high customer satisfaction and compliance with all government and corporate policiesQualifications
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhDMinimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience with successfully developing and delivering customer implementations of ServiceNow based applicationsAbility to guide customers through understanding technical solutions to their business requirementsProficiency in scripting, Java, Javascript, ITIL, and ServiceNowExperience with modern JavaScript Libraries (Angular, Backbone, Marionette, Require, jQuery)Expert level HTML/CSSExperience in implementing scripted Web services in ServiceNow, SOAP, REST, and integrations with external systemExcellent in documentation, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with teams across geographical locationsAbility to participate in video meetings as requiredActive SECRET or above security clearanceAbility to obtain/maintain any additional access required for the positionPreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of one of the cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Advanced working knowledge of ITIL and Configuration Management Best Practices.Advanced understanding of the infrastructure tools, servers, databases.Working knowledge of Networking, and Storage TechnologiesCompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ CertificationsPeraton Overview
