Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Senior Director, Strategic Finance will lead the design, provide ongoing analysis, and manage the company's long-term capitalization and financing strategy in concert with the company's strategic plan, optimizing the economic performance, risk profile, and valuation of the company. They will design, implement, and manage a capital approval, prioritization, and sourcing framework to be integrated into capital and investment decision-making processes, including near- to mid-term liquidity planning and adherence to the company's financial policy. They will design and manage an expanded investment performance tracking process across the company and integrate it into recurring internal/external reporting. Co-lead the coordinated strategic, capital, and annual planning processes across the business. They will also lead strategic capital discussions, business performance scenarios, and risk mitigations/recommendations with executive management and shareholders on an ongoing basis, and actively co-manage and support, in concert with Treasury, the company's credit ratings and investor engagement. Assess, design, and execute, in coordination with Treasury, efficient growth capital raises consistent with the long-term capital plan. Lead and develop an expanded team.

Key AccountabilitiesProvide ongoing corporate impact and scenario analysis for new investments as needed.Co-manage near and mid-term corporate liquidity, and related monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables.Structure and execute corporate capital financings and other strategic transactions.Provide treasury, rating agency, and investor relations support.Manage long-term Capital Planning/Business Strategy and Valuation and Investment Performance.Provide guidance and mentorship to others.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education RequiredTechnical bachelor's degree (finance, engineering, or renewables); MBA strongly encouraged.10+ years (preferably within infrastructure or comparable renewable energy industry) experience in strategic/corporate finance, strategic planning, and/or corporate development/M&A.4+ years of renewables company experience with a deep understanding of organizational structure, business model, and company assets and liabilities.Deep understanding of various capital alternatives, financial underwriting, and tax, legal, and accounting considerations.Ability to translate the company's qualitative strategy to a long-term capital and financing strategy.Ability to synthesize complex and integrated business models, including under various macroeconomic and business environments.Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills and experience.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $174,000 - $234,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
