Staff Data Scientist, Growth

About the RoleYou will join our Data Science team as Staff Data Scientist in the Growth organization. You will work closely with Growth Marketers and channel leads in using growth channels to drive new user acquisition, onboarding, and early lifecycle retention through deep dive analysis, experimentation, and model development [attribution, cost curves]. More specifically, you will help us with channel optimization of our core deployments, email and mailer, help us understand the value of investments from a conversion and CAC efficiency perspective.  What You’ll Accomplish Developing measurement frameworks for our growth channelsStanding up self-serve performance analysis dashboard for core channelsDeveloping hypotheses for channel optimization and efficiency, user growth, and leading growth channel experimentationExplaining root causes of business performance and working with Growth Marketers to develop actions to accelerate growthWorking with Data Engineers to build growth data models and ensure accurate / efficient ingestion / transformation of required datasetsBuilding out Hinge Health’s channel attribution model and cost optimization functionsHinge Health Hybrid ModelWe believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.Basic Qualifications8+ years experience working with large datasets to solve business and technology problemsExperience working in Growth on problems like attribution, channel performance optimization, CAC optimization, and experimentationExperience working with scientific computing languages (R / Python) and SQLExperience with BI/visualization tools like Mode Analytics Experience in model development, validation and implementationPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related technical degreeAbility to work autonomously, cross-functionally, and with minimal guidanceThe ability to communicate results clearly and a focus on driving impactKnowledge of time series, statistics, and / or machine learning CompensationThis position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
