Your impact:
As Coastal's VP of Mortgage Sales you will lead our mortgage loan portfolio growth, improve operational efficiencies, build highly competent mortgage teams, and ensure compliance. As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:
- Developing and implementing a data-driven mortgage origination strategy aimed at doubling the credit union's loan portfolio while enhancing profitability and member satisfaction. This strategy will be informed by a comprehensive analysis of market trends and competitive dynamics to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, included new markets, product offerings and member segments. (25%)
- Cultivating a high-performance culture within the mortgage team by setting clear targets, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing best practices in loan origination. (25%)
- Driving initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency throughout the loan origination process to maximize profitability. (20%)
- Designing and recommending, to the executive team, mortgage products that enable Coastal to be competitive in the marketplace while minimizing risk exposure. (10%)
- Designing and implementing the construction-to-perm loan program including structuring loan terms and eligibility criteria while managing risk such as cost overruns, delays, and borrower creditworthiness. (10%)
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with real estate agents, brokers, and community organizations; and attending conferences, networking events, and community events to expand referral networks, drive new loan opportunities, enhance visibility, and promote mortgage lending services. (10%)

Experience:
- Ten years' experience, including five years of management, in all aspects of residential mortgage lending to include origination, sales management, processing, underwriting, closing, and secondary marketing and involving rules and regulations pertaining to mortgage lending.
- Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac products, services, and guidelines
Education:
- Related bachelor's degree preferred
