Currently looking for skilled individuals to fill a temp-to hire Senior Quality Control Technician opening with a company located in Brooklyn Park, MN. Interested candidates should have experience working in a metal stamping environment, experience using a vision system, the ability to use measuring devices, PPAP experience, and ISO 9001 knowledge.

Senior Quality Control Technician Job Description:Facilitate Corrective / Preventative Actions for suppliers and customers (internal & external).Write up formal reports per customer specified formats or web pages. (FAIR)Update quality specific work instructions and quality documentation as needed, including Quality Alerts, Control Plans, and Process FMEAs.Support and conduct quality experiments using statistical methods.Perform PPAP submissions.Assist in Leading, conducting and documenting internal and external Process, QMS and quality audits.Facilitate Continuous Improvement activities.Program/operate Keyence Imaging system.Perform First articles, Incoming, In-process and Final inspections.Determine methods and equipment for attribute and dimensional measurement.Assist with customer complaints, returns, and corrective actions. Ensure customer rejects and quality problems are satisfactorily resolved and reported.Perform ISO 9001-2015 audits and assist with documentation of processes to ensure compliance to internal procedures and the ISO 9001-2015 standards.Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Help coordinate, track, and communicate the quality focused KPI metrics for daily, weekly, and monthly performance. Develop countermeasures for underperforming KPI metrics.Aid in Maintaining and improving policies and procedures for quality-related areas per QMS requirements.Be a member of the Material Review Board (MRB)Assist with proper reporting and compliance with government regulations (NAFTA, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, etc).May participate in the review of customer or contractual documentation (including proposals) to identify and ensure fulfillment of quality requirements. Help develop and update quality-specific work instructions and quality documentation, including quality alerts, control plans and process FMEAs.Assist in ensuring all quality equipment is maintained and calibrated as appropriate.Support the implementation of quality tools that govern all quality functions from raw material to purchased goods throughout the production and shipping departments. Aid with the analyzing of non-conformances and process failures to facilitate solutions for trouble parts.Assist manufacturing and engineering by helping them develop process changes and assembly practices.Participate in the generation of part-specific quality plans utilizing customer drawings, CAD models, and process specifications to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements. Provide technical and advisory support to the production department. Help train, coach and supervise Quality Control Inspectors. Create and run Keyence inspection programs.Create bubble numbered prints.Validate new parts/and or process changes.Ensure quality processes are effective, controlled, and continuously improved.Senior Quality Control Technician Job Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalentCollege degree, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in a metals manufacturing environment or similar.Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints, including GD&T.Knowledge of proper use of various inspection equipment and inspection methods.Knowledge of calibration methods.Knowledge of gauge capability studies.Knowledge of sampling methods.Ability to make decisions regarding conformance to specifications.Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, precision and attention to detail.Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.Knowledge of Practical Problem Solving, and associated tools.Ability to train/coach/mentor and elevate others.Must have strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), communication skills, problem-solving skills, documentation skills and ISO 9001 knowledge.Ability to regularly work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus overtime if warranted.Ability to sit or stand a minimum of 8 hours per day.Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Compensation for Senior Quality Control Technician:

The starting salary for the Senior Quality Control Technician position is $25 to $30+ hourly (DOQ & open to negotiation).

Shift:

Ideally this is a 2nd shift, Mon-Thurs, 4pm to 2:30am. Training would be on first shift Mon-Thurs, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may be negotiable.
