ABOUT
The Georgia Swarm Professional Lacrosse Organization is an esteemed member of the National Lacrosse League and the leading box lacrosse team in the greater Atlanta region. Our front office is based in Duluth, GA, and our games take place at the Gas South Arena.
EXPECTATIONS:
Please note that this is an unpaid internship which may be leveraged as appropriate for post-secondary course credit. The Digital Media Intern position for the Georgia Swarm will perform important digital marketing related tasks within the Swarm's Marketing and Communications Department and assist the Digital Content Media Producer. This role plays a critical part in enhancing content not only on conventional digital platforms but also on emerging social media channels, aiming to enhance engagement and rapidly expand our viewership.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Update georgiaswarm.com and specific landing pages to align with current marketing messaging.Create evergreen content that will generate off-site SEO opportunities.Create creative copy for marketing materials such as digital advertisements (PPC and Paid Social), email campaigns, GIPHY etc.Assist in growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platformsHelp provide best practices with the Georgia Swarm social media accountsOther various digital tasksREQUIREMENTS:
Pursuing or have a degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related fieldsAbility to commit to working in-person during business hours and through the 2024-25 season that includes all nine (9) Georgia Swarm home games plus possible playoff gameCommit to community events for media coverage if assignedComfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe SuitesGeneral knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web contentExperience writing short and long-form articles, advertorial content, and/or marketing content.Knowledge with social media platformsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate in a creative environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detailBENEFITS:
