Role Overview:

Could you be our next Video Editor/VideographerGlobe Life is looking for a Video Editor/Videographer to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for telling compelling stories through video, editing and graphics. This position is responsible for collaboratively capturing footage for our brand as part of the social media department, directly supervised and approved by the Social Media Manager. In this role, the Video Editor/Videographer will be a visual voice of our brand across all social media channels, capturing content for internal and external campaigns through graphic and video design. The ideal applicant will be a self-motivated team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. 

This role requires an individual with an eye and experience for travel-related content that will be used to generate excitement and engagement for upcoming events. The Video Editor/Videographer should be comfortable with run and gun style filming as well as formal interview shoots. Please reference our Instagram accounts for examples @ailnilagency and @lnagencydiv. Travel can be up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally. As a brand ambassador this role must have a strong understanding of Globe Life’s mission and purpose and work to keep them consistent and positive within the Company. 

A showcase reel must be included for application to be considered.

This is an onsite position located in McKinney, TX

What You Will Do:

  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, community involvement, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects.
  • Script, storyboard, shoot, edit, projects to completion.
  • Make recommendations for project resources.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with internal clients, team members, and the marketing department to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.
  • Plan and execute video shoots; including scouting, selecting and reserving shoot locations, developing looks, making transportation arrangements for crew, talent and equipment; ensuring all location power needs are met, and directing hired project crew as necessary
  • Communicate production needs and schedule with the video team and outside vendors
  • Direct and coach talent when needed.
  • Maintain, reserve and rent equipment
  • Record and edit video and sound projects, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
  • Oversee creation of project specific freelance talent such as voice-overs, motion graphics, and other media as assigned
  • Manage video library
  • Adhere to branding guidelines for all areas of video.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast, Telecommunications, or video production from four-year college or university.
  • Must have 5-7 years of professional video production experience.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Must be able to learn new technologies and become a power user.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Da Vinci, and other media production software.
  • Excellence in professional video gear (Blackmagic, Sony, and Canon Cinema cameras, lighting systems, field audio recording systems).
  • Experience interviewing people of various backgrounds that establishes trust while telling a story
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Studio experience preferred.
  • Professional demeanor, yet a great sense of humor
  • Link(s) to a portfolio or work samples are required for consideration for this position.
