Job Title:
Associate or mid-level Software Quality Assurance Analyst / SQLSummary:
This position works as part of a project team to implement quality standards across state assessments. This may include developing well-structured user interface test cases, automated test cases, writing and executing manual test cases, and analyzing complex data. Testing of new and existing functionality, debug code and report errors within the defect tracking system. Candidate will show the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team, provide timely solutions, apply quality principles throughout the project lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation. Responsibilities will also include providing support to other SQA Analysts, completing documentation according to approved methodology and coordinating and participating in development and team meetings.Required Skills:Four-year technical college degree in MIS or Computer Science OR equivalent years experienceBackend database testing utilizing MS SQL in lieu of four-year degreeWorking knowledge of test management software (like JIRA or similar)Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using MS SQL DatabaseAbility to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basisStrong problem identification and solving skillsPreferred skills:Ability to write and analyze SQL queriesKnowledge of stored proceduresWork collaboratively with the development team for defect triagingAbility to document and troubleshoot errorsExcel in a fast paced, dynamic environmentAbility to be self-directed to complete assigned activitiesStrong verbal and written skillsRelate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groupsAbility to consistently perform well during times of increased work loadAbility to set and meet deadlinesManage multiple job functions simultaneouslyOther duties as needed
