We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy.The Supervisor of Reliability Network Services is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the daily operations and long-term network and telecommunications projects in support of the New England Bulk Electric System. This role demands a strategic leader with a solid engineering background, capable of guiding and influencing technical decisions while managing and delegating tasks within the team. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of the network and telecommunications infrastructure through effective team leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement.Key responsibilities include leading and developing staff, delegating operational tasks, overseeing infrastructure maintenance, managing data and voice communication systems, and executing strategic projects. Additionally, the Supervisor of Reliability Network Services will act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and maintain comprehensive documentation.What we offer you:Hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days/week onsite

Relocation AssistanceBase salary plus performance bonus program, professional development and tuition reimbursement, enhanced 401k and financial planning, wellness programs with onsite gym, onsite luncheon spaces with free coffee and a variety of dining options flexible work hours, access to business networks & more, all in a stable and supportive work environment!How you will make an impactGuide engineering decisions, providing strategic and tactical direction to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practicesServe as a technical advisor to the team, offering insights and recommendations on engineering, project and operational issuesLead a team of network and telecommunications professionals, providing clear direction, mentorship, and supportDelegate day-to-day operational tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of workMonitor and manage team workload, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term project goalsFoster a collaborative and high-performance work environment through effective leadership and team-building activitiesConduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting development goals for team membersIdentify training needs and opportunities for professional development, ensuring the team stays current with industry trends and advancementsOversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network and telecommunications infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, multiplexers, microwave and telephony systems, circuits, and other appliancesManage circuit lifecycles and act as an escalation point with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of servicesEnsure reliable performance of voice communications, addressing issues and implementing improvements as neededDevelop and execute long-term projects to enhance network and telecommunications infrastructure, aligning with organizational goals, IT Tenets and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with technical chapters and leads, architects, and management team to ensure project alignment and integration with other initiativesPartner with external managed network service providers to continuously improve wide area network services for internal and external stakeholdersManage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project deliveryMaintain comprehensive documentation of network and telecommunication configurations, changes, and maintenance activitiesEnsure all network and telecommunications activities comply with NERC CIP regulationsOversee the deployment and management of network security tools (e.g. network packet broker, network detection and response, firewall policy manager, etc.)Conduct security risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risksAct as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining strong customer service relationshipsRoutinely engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring network and telecommunications solutions meet or exceed expectationsPerform root cause analysis on incidents to identify problems, track and execute plans to continuously improve servicesPartner with peer Infrastructure Supervisors to ensure services developed within the Reliability Network Services team adequately meet business needsWhat you need to be successful in this roleBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related degree, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 10 years of technical experience, with five years as a network/telecommunications engineer is required.5+ years of experience in network and telecommunications managementProven leadership experience in a similar role, with a track record of managing teams and projects effectivelyDemonstrated understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and common network troubleshooting techniquesExperience with network security tools and infrastructure, including zero-trust networking implementationsExperience with TDM circuits, MPLS networks, SDWAN, and related telecommunication protocols and technologies, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshootingExperience in the utility industry and relevant telemetry protocols is highly desirable (e.g. ICCP, DNP3, Synchrophasor, STTP, etc.)Understanding of compliance requirements in an IT environment (e.g., NERC CIP, SOC1, SOC2, etc.)Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyDriven with a desire for growth and professional developmentCapable of maintaining high standards of accuracy and qualityEqual Opportunity
