We are at the forefront of New England's ongoing transition to clean energy.The Supervisor of Reliability Network Services is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the daily operations and long-term network and telecommunications projects in support of the New England Bulk Electric System. This role demands a strategic leader with a solid engineering background, capable of guiding and influencing technical decisions while managing and delegating tasks within the team. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of the network and telecommunications infrastructure through effective team leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement.Key responsibilities include:Leading and developing staff, delegating operational tasks, overseeing infrastructure maintenance, managing data and voice communication systems, and executing strategic projects.Acting as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and maintain comprehensive documentation.What we offer you:Hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days/week onsiteRelocation AssistanceBase salary plus performance bonus program, professional development and tuition reimbursement, enhanced 401k and financial planning, wellness programs with onsite gym, onsite luncheon spaces with free coffee and a variety of dining options, flexible work hours, access to business networks & more.How you will make an impact:Guide engineering decisions, providing strategic and tactical direction to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.Serve as a technical advisor to the team, offering insights and recommendations on engineering, project and operational issues.Lead a team of network and telecommunications professionals, providing clear direction, mentorship, and support.Delegate day-to-day operational tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work.Monitor and manage team workload, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term project goals.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment through effective leadership and team-building activities.Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting development goals for team members.Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development, ensuring the team stays current with industry trends and advancements.Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network and telecommunications infrastructure.Manage circuit lifecycles and act as an escalation point with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.Ensure reliable performance of voice communications, addressing issues and implementing improvements as needed.Develop and execute long-term projects to enhance network and telecommunications infrastructure.Collaborate with technical chapters and leads, architects, and management team to ensure project alignment and integration with other initiatives.Partner with external managed network service providers to continuously improve wide area network services.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and telecommunication configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.Ensure all network and telecommunications activities comply with NERC CIP regulations.Oversee the deployment and management of network security tools.Conduct security risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining strong customer service relationships.Routinely engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.Perform root cause analysis on incidents to identify problems, track and execute plans to continuously improve services.Partner with peer Infrastructure Supervisors to ensure services developed within the Reliability Network Services team adequately meet business needs.What you need to be successful in this role:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related degree, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 10 years of technical experience, with five years as a network/telecommunications engineer is required.5+ years of experience in network and telecommunications management.Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with a track record of managing teams and projects effectively.Demonstrated understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and common network troubleshooting techniques.Experience with network security tools and infrastructure.Experience with TDM circuits, MPLS networks, SDWAN, and related telecommunication protocols and technologies.Experience in the utility industry and relevant telemetry protocols is highly desirable.Understanding of compliance requirements in an IT environment.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Driven with a desire for growth and professional development.Capable of maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
