Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and execute strategic plans for the surgical services department. Provide visionary leadership to foster excellence and collaboration.
Operations:
Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
Quality Improvement:
Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of patient care. Lead initiatives to improve clinical practices and compliance.
Staff Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor surgical services staff. Promote ongoing professional development for the team.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster strong relationships with surgeons and other stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the surgical services department and other hospital units.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the department's budget. Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about industry regulations and accreditation standards. Implement and monitor policies for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in surgical services within an acute care setting.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
