A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)
As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will work hand-in-hand with the administrator to maintain the efficiency and cohesion of the long-term care facility and nursing department. You will ensure that the highest levels of care are provided at all times, committed to the care and safety of our residents, and strive to continuously exceed the quality of care and customer service standards.
The DON is responsible for overseeing the entire clinical team and ensuring excellent outcomes are met with minimal deficiencies. Additionally, you will be expected to continuously strive towards increasing the facility’s clinical capabilities and the level of acuities the facility can accept.
THE IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)
Prior long-term care/clinical management experience for a minimum of 1 year
Valid RN license
Superb working knowledge of PointClickCare software
