Summary

The Vice President of Marketing is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to support the company's aggressive growth goals. Reporting to the CRO, this role will oversee all aspects of marketing including content marketing, lead generation, brand management, digital marketing, and analytics. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, have a proven track record in IT services or technology sectors, have a keen understanding of CMMC requirements, and possess strong leadership abilities to build and mentor a high-performing marketing team.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the company's revenue targets and growth objectives.

Drive a cohesive go-to-market strategy that supports sales team in generating leads and converting prospects.

Lead and manage the full marketing funnel, ensuring integration and alignment with sales initiatives and business objectives.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

Manage, assess & evolve strategy for lead generation and conversion of leads and SDR team.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Summit 7 Executive stakeholders, departments, and industry Experts to ensure alignment and drive cohesive go-to-market strategies, create sales collateral, and support customer retention.

Work closely with the CRO and sales leadership to continuously refine and optimize the lead-to-revenue process.

Develop a data-driven approach to marketing decision-making, leveraging analytics and performance metrics to guide strategy and improve ROI.

Implement and maintain KPIs to track the effectiveness of campaigns, lead generation, and new customer acquisitions.

Build relationships with industry stakeholders, media, and partner companies.

Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of industry data.

Provide regular reports to the executive and senior leadership teams on marketing performance, insights, and areas for optimization.

Manage external agencies and vendors to support marketing initiatives, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.

Create and execute lead generation strategies across digital channels (SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing) to drive quality leads for the sales team.

Drive engagement across all platforms (Web, Social, Etc.) using SEO best practices and regularly measure/present results.

Improve marketing automation and CRM integrations to optimize lead scoring, nurturing, and conversion.

Develop a robust content marketing strategy that maintains Summit 7's position as a thought leader in the CMMC and DIB cloud services space.

Oversee the creation of compelling and value-driven content including, but not limited to blogs, videos, articles, landing pages, websites, infographics, and social media.

Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy while maintaining a customer-centric focus.

Develop and manage the company's events and public relations strategy to build and maintain a positive public image.

Support corporate events and joint marketing events with partners as necessary.

Responsible for the planning and execution of Summit 7's CS2 conference and other lead generating or public relations events, ensuring cohesive strategic alignment with strategic objectives.

Public speaking engagements at CS2 and other industry-related events.

Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, ensuring alignment with the company's messaging and strategic goals.

Management of the Summit 7 Speaker Program.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity in IT services, consulting, or a related tech-driven industry.

High-level understanding of Office 365 Platforms (Commercial, GCC, GCC High) and Azure Platforms (Commercial and Government), and how the licensing, features, and capabilities map to Defense Industrial Base (DIB) cybersecurity regulations (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITAR).

Deep expertise in digital marketing, content marketing, and lead generation.

Knowledge and proficiency in SEO, Google AdWords, and web analytics.

Strong knowledge of marketing automation, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and data analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).

Proven ability to lead marketing efforts that directly impact revenue growth and brand awareness.

Strong leadership and team management skills with experience building and mentoring marketing teams.

Analytical mindset, with a track record of using data to make decisions and optimize marketing strategies.

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

S. Citizen with the ability to pass an extensive background check.

Travel; estimated up to 20% for those in greater Huntsville, AL area, 50% for other locations.
