The preferred candidate should demonstrate robust analytical abilities, a deep comprehension of accounting principles, and familiarity with ASC 606. The selected Revenue Accounting Manager will be tasked with upholding precise records and instituting optimal practices to enhance accounting and system efficiencies. There will be cross-functional partnerships with Product, Engineering, Legal, FP&A, and others to maintain and scale our QTC systems for a more efficient and effective process. This role will allow you to understand how Kandji works at a granular level and be able to provide requirements that conform with ASC 606 and internal accounting policies.How you'll make a difference day to day:Revenue Reporting & Accounting:
Responsible for general revenue accounting operations, including daily review of deals, monthly and year-end close processes.Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.Lead the preparation of financial statements, revenue account reconciliations, and reporting for management and external stakeholders.Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
QTC System Administration:
Manage and administer the company’s QTC systems (HubSpot, Maxio, etc), ensuring alignment with accounting policies and financial reporting requirements.Act as the subject matter expert for the QTC process end-to-end, including quoting, order management, billing, and revenue recognition workflows.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and IT, to ensure smooth integration of QTC systems with other business tools.
System Implementation & Maintenance:
Lead the implementation of the new QTC system, ensuring they meet business needs and compliance requirements.Define business requirements for system configurations, manage system upgrades, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Ensure data integrity and accuracy across the QTC process through routine audits, reconciliation processes, and system testing.Train and support accounting and finance teams on QTC system processes and updates.
Process Optimization:
Continuously assess and improve QTC processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.Partner with the IT and sales teams to ensure the seamless flow of information through the QTC lifecycle, identifying and implementing automation opportunities.Develop and maintain QTC-related documentation, including process flows, policies, and user guides.Develop KPIs that will provide insight for management regarding QTC processes.
