Job Duties
Develop and lead an evidence-based, best practice driven strategic plan for preventing sexual and gender-based violence.
Establish metrics and measures to assess the effectiveness of sexual and gender-based prevention programming to promote overall program improvement.
Design curriculum and educational materials that are engaging, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive.
Coordinate outreach efforts to internal and external organizations and other campus partners to promote awareness and participation in prevention programs.
Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in prevention education and apply findings to program development.
Cultivate partnerships with local agencies and other community partners to enhance program impact and sustainability.
Work collaboratively with the Title IX Coordinator to ensure the development and delivery of sexual and gender-based violence prevention education program aligns with Title IX compliance expectations and addresses identified trends in sexual and gender-based violence reports and complaints.
Develop and provide educational trainings related to sexual and gender-based violence to the campus community.
Serve on university-appointed committees as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and assessing sexual and gender-based violence prevention programming.
Working knowledge of relevant federal laws such as Title IX, Clery, and VAWA.
3-5 years of experience addressing sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and/or stalking.
Experience with advocacy and/or prevention education programming and/or peer education programming.
Additional Considerations
Demonstrated understanding of best practices in violence prevention and responding to violence using a trauma-informed approach.
Experience developing and delivering sexual and gender-based violence prevention education programs in a college or university setting.
Ability to handle confidential information, work independently, and work as part of a team.
Grant-writing experience.
