Atlanta, GA or Warner Robins, GAThe Challenge:The Software Engineer will participate in a complete embedded software development lifecycle. In addition to design, code development, and test, the Software Engineer will ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted through participation in:Architecture and requirements reviewsPeer reviews of work products derived from requirements specificationsJob Duties:Design, develop, test and debug system softwareDesign and implement software for embedded devices and systems, throughout lifecycle from requirements to deploymentDesign and implement MS Windows desktop software from requirements to deploymentReview code and designEstimate software development tasks and resource requirementsQualifications:Minimum Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and minimum of 5 years work experience in embedded Software Engineering OR equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Experience:Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multi-tasking real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks, Green Hills)Proficient in C, C++ and PythonKnowledge of IBM Rational-DOORSKnowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystemsExperience developing software requirement specifications and software documentationStrong oral and written communication skillsWillingness to travel 10% CONUS and OCONUSUS Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security ClearancePreferred Skills and Experience:Knowledge of EW Self-Protection Systems (e.g. RWR, LWS, MWS) and performanceSystems or networking programming experienceFamiliarity with C# and WinFormsExperience with development and execution of verification and validation proceduresBasic understanding of Software SecurityKnowledge of DO-178CBenefits:Competitive health coverage for employee and family200% match on 401kEducational AssistanceFlexible schedule that allows remote work daysOptional 9/80 work scheduleTerma Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employer.
