DVS is looking for a

Document Specialist

to support our team in

Alexandria, VA . This position requires an active

the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

This position will be

onsite.

Description:

Collect and organize information required for preparation of user's manuals, SOP's, training materials, installation guides, and reports. Create and edit functional descriptions, system specifications (including requirements and design documents), user's manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents. Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, and "frequently asked questions" pages to help technical support staff, consumers, and other users. The Documentation Specialist will work with our technical resources to manage the flow of information among project workgroups during development and testing as well as determine the needs of end users. Gather usability feedback from customers and end users. Standardize content across platforms and media as well as revise documents as needed. Will be responsible for maintaining records and files of work and revisions as well as the schedule for SOP's and status reports. The Documentation Specialist will also perform quality reviews on documents created by other team members prior to delivery of the documents.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 1 years' experience or High School Diploma and 7 years' experience.

Required Skills:

1+ year Technical Writing (Requirements, Design, Diagrams, SOP, Process Documents, User Manuals, Install Guides, System Specifications, Training Materials)

1+ year Communications Development (FAQs, Newsletters, Job Aids, Posters, Surveys, how-to documents)

1+ year Knowledge Management development and administration

Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications including Visio.

Desired Skills:

SharePoint Administration

Quality Assurance and Control for all documentation

Communications Measurement and Analysis

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience with Microsoft Office Products

ITIL Service Management

Business Application Training

Troubleshooting experience

User Acceptance Testing

Responsibilities include:
