I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
requires the services of
2 QA Engineer Automated 2 , hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of
QA Engineer Automated 2, Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing
and the specifications outlined in this document for the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department .
ll work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire " and are the property of the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
This worker will perform manual and automated testing of low to complex business applications. Works with team lead, other QA Analyst and project managers to analyze requirements and test new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency, effectives and to verify they conform to the requirements. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the
minimum
stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 7 Required Performing manual and automated testing of web or mobile applications 7 Required Developing test cases for testing mobile and web applications 7 Required Documenting testing results in a detailed manner 7 Required Implement automated test scripts using Selenium, Java or similar testing tools 5 Required Version control such as Subversion, Gitlab 5 Required Working in a project team environment, Agile Methodology 5 Required Testing to ensure accessibility and other existing standards are met 5 Required Maintaining effective working relationships. 5 Required Documenting testing results in Bugzilla, Jira or a similar tool 5 Required Experience testing web services using Postman, SOAPUI or similar tools 3 Required Skill writing SQL in industry standard relational databases 5 Preferred Managing multiple task and priorities 5 Preferred Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff 3 Preferred Leading QA team 2 Preferred Performance testing using JMeter or similar tools III. TERMS OF SERVICE
Services are expected to start
07/10/2024
and are expected to complete by
08/31/2025 . Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed
2240
hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing. IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department . Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
The primary work location(s) will be at
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, 4200 Smith School Rd, Austin, TX, 78744 . The working position is
Hybrid - On Site and Telework . Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts.
The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through
