We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Permanent Estimator with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for Mission Critical Projects. This role involves working on high-stakes, large-scale projects in the construction industry, where precision, efficiency, and in-depth knowledge are key. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates that reflect the unique requirements of each project, taking into account local rates, risk analysis, and other relevant factors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience, who is looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and deliver comprehensive cost plans and estimates for mission-critical projects, ensuring all estimates accurately reflect the project's unique requirements.
  2. Perform risk analysis and identify potential issues that could impact project costs or timelines.
  3. Utilize expertise in MEP to provide detailed and accurate electrical estimates.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local rates and incorporate this knowledge into estimates.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather all necessary data for estimates.
  6. Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  7. Present estimates to senior management and clients, explaining the basis for the cost estimate and answering any questions.
  8. Continually monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure our estimating techniques and methodologies are current and effective.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for mission-critical projects in the construction industry.
  2. Proven expertise in MEP, with a particular focus on electrical estimating.
  3. Strong knowledge of local rates and the ability to incorporate this knowledge into estimates.
  4. Exceptional skills in risk analysis, with the ability to identify potential issues that could impact project costs or timelines.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  7. Proficiency in relevant software programs and tools.
  8. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  9. Professional certifications in estimating or a related field are a plus.
