Job Details

The Director/VP of Capital Raising & Investor Relations (“VP”) will spearhead capital raising activities of the company. The VP will specifically target capital from family offices, high net worth individuals, independent or broker/dealer registered investment advisors, and others.

The purpose of the fundraising is to place capital into a fund, or separate accounts focused on the acquisition of Class A multifamily properties.

The Director/VP will have the unique opportunity to set up and establish this new division within our company. This entails total responsibility and oversight of this divisional function within the company. Critical to this role is a solid understanding of finance, portfolio theory, a strong network of funding sources, and a demonstrated track record of raising capital for investment.

The Director/VP of Capital Raising & Investor Relations will also oversee investor relations, investor onboarding, and investor reporting. This will include fund administration and reporting. The VP will be the primary point of contact for all communications with investors.

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to raise capital for one-off investments and funds.
  • Understanding of portfolio theory and finance.
  • Deep contacts within the high net worth, family office and RIA investor base.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a proven ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to both investors and senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Fundamental understanding of fund accounting and tax reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the design and implementation of investor reporting systems, as well as the administration of controls over those systems.
  • Ability to design appropriate policies and procedures for investor reporting.
