Our Manufacturing facility is seeking a Permanent 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and machinery setup. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, particularly with shrink wrap machines, shrink packaging, and protective packaging equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, a high degree of technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust as necessary.
  • Set up full line configurations and ensure all machinery is operating at optimal efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair flexible packaging machinery and equipment, including shrink wrap machines and protective packaging equipment.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
  • Coordinate with other team members to meet deadlines and achieve results.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required, while an Associate's degree in a technical field or related discipline is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with Programming Logic Controllers (e.g. Allen-Bradley, B&R, Siemens).
  • Experience in extrusion (blown film), printing (flexographic), and plastic sheet converting is desired.
  • Understands lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be results-oriented.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
