Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to our clients on a broad range of estate planning matters. Pathway to Partner Program, CE Requirement

Responsibilities:

• Counseling clients on estate planning, retirement asset planning, and the legal aspects of wealth transfer.
• Drafting and reviewing various legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Advising clients on estate and gift tax matters, as well as medicaid eligibility planning.
• Navigating complex legal issues related to property law and estate administration.
• Representing clients in probate court proceedings as needed.
• Staying updated on changes in Virginia law and regulations that may impact clients' estate plans.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals to ensure that clients' needs are met.
• Participating in business development activities to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Virginia and be in good standing with the Virginia Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, retirement asset planning, and related areas of law.
• Demonstrated knowledge of wills, trusts, property law, and other relevant legal disciplines.
• Experience in drafting both revocable and irrevocable trusts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with legal research tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
