Job Details:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Attorney specializing in Labor Law to join our dynamic legal team. This role will provide an exciting opportunity to work on various labor and employment matters, including NLRB proceedings, union elections, representation hearings, arbitrations, grievances, employee relations, collective bargaining, and contract negotiations. The successful candidate will be able to work closely with our management team and will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our labor relations strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in all aspects of labor law, including NLRB proceedings, union elections, representation hearings, arbitrations, and grievances.
  • Develop and implement labor relations strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Advise management on labor law issues, collective bargaining strategies, and employee relations matters.
  • Negotiate and draft collective bargaining agreements and other labor contracts.
  • Train management and HR on labor law issues and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other legal team members on cross-functional issues and projects.
  • Manage outside counsel in labor and employment matters as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • 5+ years of experience in labor law, focusing on NLRB proceedings, union elections, representation hearings, arbitrations, grievances, employee relations, collective bargaining, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting and negotiating labor contracts.
  • Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with various individuals in a diverse community.
  • Management experience is preferred.
