Salary: $68,000 - $95,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
  • Facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes for the portfolio, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, post journal entries, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; CAM reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting.
  • Proficiency in Yardi or a similar property management/accounting software is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
