Job Details:

We are searching for a seasoned Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving the food safety and quality systems in our manufacturing facilities. This role requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about food safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality systems in accordance with GFSI standards.
  • Lead the HACCP program within the organization, ensuring all aspects are fully compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee daily operations of the food quality assurance team, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits of sanitation practices, food safety protocols, and quality assurance systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to resolve food safety and quality issues promptly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the food safety and quality systems, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide training and education to staff on food safety and quality assurance procedures and best practices.
  • Manage the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality and food safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety and quality assurance role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Certified SQF Practitioner preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of GFSI Food Safety and Quality Systems, HACCP, and food manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of sanitation practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Willingness to stay updated with advancements in food safety and quality assurance best practices.
