Salary: $22 - $28 per hour

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Collections Specialist to join our team. This exciting role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the mortgage industry and a proven track record in collections. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of collections, including working with Yardi software, handling overdue accounts, and liaising with collection agencies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and has an unwavering commitment to customer service.

This is a temporary to hire Collections Specialist role but during the temporary period, you get full benefits, as well as 401K! The main reason they are bringing someone on as a temporary employee is because they have a lot of work right now and need someone to start quickly. The ideal Collections Specialist has experience calling tenants and working with them on overdue payments, someone with experience partnering with a collection agency is also important. Also, someone who has experience reviewing leases is important. We are seeking someone with 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the real estate industry. Commercial real estate experience and Yardi are preferred but not required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

As a Consulting Collections Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing all aspects of collections, including overdue accounts, and liaising with collection agencies.
2. Utilizing Yardi software to track, manage, and report on collections activities.
3. Developing and implementing effective collections strategies to reduce delinquency and improve collections rates.
4. Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on collections best practices, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
5. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve collections issues and improve collections processes.
6. Conducting detailed analysis of collections data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
7. Providing exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Consulting Collections Specialist role, you will need the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, specifically in a collections role.
2. Proven experience with Yardi software is essential.
3. Previous experience working with collection agencies is required.
4. Strong knowledge of collections best practices, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
6. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and resolve conflicts.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze collections data and translate findings into actionable strategies.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
