Salary: $150,000 - $185,000 per year
A bit about us:As a Tax Manager for one of our clients, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, including tax planning, compliance, and preparation. This role is integral to the financial health of the organization and offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, an active CPA license, and a deep understanding of corporate tax.

- Oversee all tax-related activities within the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profitability.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance and advice to senior management.
- Lead and manage the tax department, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring the organization is well-informed and prepared for any changes.
- Assist with financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- An active CPA license is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within public accounting.
- Extensive experience with tax planning, tax preparation, and tax compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate tax and experience with preparing tax returns.
- Prior experience in public accounting is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
